Introduction to the diversity of the physical and human landscapes of Europe; the patterns of language, religion, and ethnicity; and the ways in which Europeans have used their land for economic and cultural purposes. Making use of the tools of geographic inquiry, the course provides a comprehensive understanding of today¿s Europe. The role of the European Union is emphasized.
