GEO 0250 - SOIL JUDGING

Students will learn soil morphology and soil classification as well as fundamental soil science concepts and definitions, and their application in the field. Students will learn to describe, classify, and interpret the soil characteristics and their suitability for agricultural use, urban development, and subsurface water treatment. This is a six-week course that culminates in attending a regional soil judging competition.
